Before Market Collective, I have the Hillhurst Holiday Gift Market. It’s going to be fun! Knit fingerless gloves, wristlets and ascot neck scarves. I’ll also have all my holiday cards available with this year’s new collection: pandas! Come support local artisans and designers in Calgary!

Of all the markets I’ve been to, I’ve finally got a picture of my table. This is my array of printed and illustrated work. I still need to photograph all my new knitwear creations.
Some of these items are on my etsy shop
It was a fun weekend and I can’t wait to be a part of another Market Collective!

Another year, another season of…Market Collective! I’m really excited for the upcoming event on August 20/21. New greeting card collections, new business name, “Hop & Flop” and an eagerness to get the year going. Come with a food donation or $3 entry fee and enjoy handmade creations from amazing artists and designers.

I never tire of it because I get to be creative and I always have a theme each year. It all started one year when I created hand illustrated cards with a different illustration on each and that year it was frogs.
This season, I’ve decided to introduce cute raccoons in fun holiday settings.

I hope people out there know how much time and effort is put to all the pieces that are displayed for sale at craft markets. In my case, I’m all by myself. I just finished my first outdoor street festival at Haultain Park. I drove, I lugged merchandise and set up shop 9am today and I’m exhausted.
Here’s a couple pictures of a table decoration I wanted, so it would boost interest for people to come to my table. Here’s a before and after look of it, which was all hand sewn.
